An Evening Out
We spent some time yesterday hanging out at the Highland pool, window shopping on Grand Avenue and watching Shakespeare in the Park at St. Clement's Church lawn. The girls stopped in the Red Balloon bookstore and found many books that they wanted to read.
At Shakespeare, we "picniced" on the lawn and braided hair while watching, "Alls Well that Ends Well." The play was about a girl who likes a boy but he believes he is above her in statation. When she heals the man's father, who is the king, the king grants her what she wishes. She wants to marry the boy but he refuses. He has another girl that he is interested in. Because he cannot completely deny his father, he puts out two tests that the girl must accomplish. She completes both and eventually, they end up together.
