Girls on the Run Fall 2022

Emma and Ani completed their 5K race at the State Fair grounds this morning. It was a chilly 23 degrees. Thankfully there was little wind. They ran with a few friends from OH Anderson and their coaches. This was Emma's second race and Ani's first. We are thankful for such a wonderful program that builds girls self-esteem. Also part of the program is the chance to support the local community. This season the girls donated food to the food shelf and made up bags of supplies for the women's shelter. Pictures below are of Emma and Analise with Evelyn and Tori as well as coaches Kate, Trish and Eric.

Crafting Party

On Friday Emma and Ani both got to select two friends to come over for candle, food wrap and perfume making. Our house smelled like a Bath and Body Works shop once all the crafts were complete. Although you can see the intense concentration needed while candle making, the seriousness of the night was brief. The girls took in upon themselves to get rid of excess energy with some flashlight tag outdoors and a dance party in the basement inbetween craft projects. Erin was glad her friend Joy could come over to help out with projects or she would have had a hard time making sure all the crafts went home with the right kid. Next weekend we head to Stages theater for Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Bring on the fun!
